So cheap, like mega cheap. Also, I really like it for how rare it is.

I like those too, but autobox and no immediate need for a bigger car...

Yea, when I saw how cheap they were the other week it immediately shot up towards the top of my “next car” list. I mean 2016-17s are going for $ 15-20k...that’s a lot of car for the money

Like a decent one near me is $26K CAD. So like... cheap.
The price of a newer loaded forte.

Ground clearance is going to be rough once you get off road..

I got feet for the claims I need to offroad to. Or I can hitch a ride with someone in a truck.
I do mostly legal work these days. Cushy city driving

Future insurance claims response vehicle? I’m guessing they have A/C.

That’s my hope. Hard to swing it with the wife....$$$. But my allowance would cover it.

I would still have the Fiesta ST with a 6 speed manual

I’ve been searching for one. Even rarer than the k900

I always forget these exist but they sound like a great fit for you!

ooh yeah yeah, it wouldnt replace any car, but even then driving an autobox is boring....

Are there any rules to your allowance? Like could you use it to buy something old that has depreciated enough to cost about the same as a new car? It would be sweet to roll around in a Phaeton or something like that. Still boring enough looking to fly under the radar but I am sure it would be better than a Kia. I guess maintenance and gas is where it would get you, unless that can fit into the budget as well.

No rules at all. Just 600 pre tax every month.
Gas is paid over and above the allowance and covered by my firm

I think this would be a great vehicle. Most folks will see the Kia badge and still think you’re driving an econobox that gives you the image of not being there to take advantage of them. They don’t need to know you’re rolling up in something that not only has AC but maybe even heated and cooled seats.

I guess after taxes thats only like $3 per month, no wonder you have to get a Kia lol. I recall you saying something about coworkers getting “the talk” regarding fuel usage though, so I guess that limits options somewhat. But if other people are frequently using big ass trucks I would think almost anything should work. I think you should crowdsource your next vehicle choice. I am sure Oppo would recommend all of the Volvo wagons. Just think, nobody would ever think you are wasting their insurance money if you show up in a brown turd. Alternatively I am thinking a paint job like the Cletus vette on something that would otherwise seem flashy.

Ooh, good call. I've always thought these were sharp-looking cars. Shame I've seen so few.

Kia K900s and Hyundai Equus ’ are much rarer in Canada compared to the U.S. (i.e. lower per-capita sales).
For the K900 - 2015 had the highest sales figures
U.S. - 2524 sales / 321 million population = 0.00000 7 86
Canada - 36 sales / 35.7 million population = 0.00 00 1 00
For the Equus - 2012 had the highest sales figures
U.S. - 3972 sales / 314 million population = 0.0000 1 26
Canada - 116 sales / 34.7 million population = 0.00000 3 3

The actual sales stats would say otherwise though - the K900 has never sold more than 3 dozen examples in a year in Canada, the Equus sold a few dozen more per year.
That’s not much though, both were routinely in the top-10 lowest selling cars in Canada each year, and the similarly forgotten RLX outsold them.
